These Quick Connect Safety Cans are made for your safety! The quick disconnect fittings allow liquids to flow freely through tubing . The polyethylene container is strong and durable and features openings for controlled pouring into larger disposal containers to properly dispose of wastes. Opening is equipped with a stainless steel flame arrester which
dissipates heat to prevent flashback ignition. Features a latch on the handle to that keeps the lid open if needed to help in the ease of pouring. The cans are translucent for checking liquid leves easily and efficiently.
Ideal for HPLC applications and is suitable for either pump fed or gravity flow HPLC waste methods. The quick-disconnect container automatically vents between 3 & 5 psig.
The quick disconnect mechanism detaches the safety can from the HPLC process without having to disengage any tubing already connected to the machine. Both the coupling and disconnect are valved helping in preventing of any vapor releasing.
Meets OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106(a)(29) Safety can shall mean an approved container, of not more than 5 gallons capacity, having a spring-closing lid and spout cover and so designed that it will safely relieve internal pressure when subjected to fire exposure.
