The Ultra-Oil and Debris Blocker from UltraTech aims to stop pollutants before they can reach the stormwater outflow. In this unique system, stormwater is forced to flow through the bottom of the unit. By doing this, it ensures that pollutants such as floating trash and hydrocarbons remain on the water's surface and are not carried into the outflow.
The unit itself installs quickly and easily in storm drain outflows and keeps a low profile. This means that after you install the UltraTech Ultra-Oil and Debris Blocker, vactor trucks can still clean the catch basin without removing the unit. As an added bonus, it's dual component, all-polyethylene construction means it won't rust or corrode.
The UltraTech Ultra-Oil and Debris Blocker is great to help keep pollutants out and even helps you copmly with NPDES, 40 CFR 122.26 (1999) and TMDL requirements. Please keep in mind that the 8" blocker is a single piece, but the 10" and 12" varieties require both the blocker and the adapter for proper installation.
